Logo Design Brief

I need a new logo design for my law firm (www.cgordonlaw.com) to be used on cards, letterhead, website and social media. For colors, I would like to use navy blue and light blue just like the University of North Carolina logo. For the logo, I love the Montreal Canadiens logo and how it incorporates a C and H. Maybe a G and L for my logo, but I'll leave that up to the experts. I like having a singular logo where the "G" is prominent, but again, I'll leave that up to the experts. I want something that stands out.
