Logo Design Brief

I am a looking for a logo for The Diag Group.

Diag, short for diagnosis, or diagonal... or shortest distance between two points in a polygon. So I am looking for something like a polygonal D made up of diagonal lines, or the work Diag nested within a polygonal shape cleverly disguised... I have also attached a sketch that much more basic, but could be the foundation of something...

Primary colours being PMS:7406 and PMS:282
