Web Design Brief
Looking for a modern Wordpress website for a general OBGYN practice in Florida with a specialty in High Risk Obstetrics. We had an old Joomla website that crashed and we lost most of the files. It was over 10 years old and needed a refresh anyway.
Our practice serves a multicultural patient population (white, black, Spanish and Indian) and we would like our website to reflect that diversity. Our company colors are sunshine yellow (#ECBF6D) often combined with black, white and steel blue (#7191BE) in the "life" part of our logo (attached) depending on the background. Our tagline is "We're specialist in You!" Overall the site should have a clean modern yet comfortable feel. One that portrays friendliness and competence. At least 6 pages (Home, Obstetrics, Gynecology, News, Patient Education and Resources). Rotating stock pictures or videos are fine for the headers of the pages if the design you're considering calls for it. Interesting and creative use of typography and icons are encouraged.
The home page should have a call to action to schedule an appointment as well as a link to our patient portal. Other than the home and news pages, the other pages should have a similar look and feel. The home page should have sections on "About Us", "Medical Staff" (with pictures and brief bio for 2 male doctors, 2 female midwives and 1 female nurse practitioner), "Services" and "Location". The news page will be a closed blog that will not allow comments or responses. Both the obstetrics and the gynecology pages will have an educational blurb on the respective topics followed by a list of our services for each topic. Would be nice on the obstetrics page to have information and graphics changes that occur during each trimester (but not necessary). The resource page will have sections on at least "Office Forms", Office Policies", "OB Guide" each with multiple downloadable PDF's. Also a section on "Insurance" with a list of all the major insurance plans that we take with links to their company websites. The address, link and map to our hospital and their website can also go on this page. The Patient Education Page can be broken into 3 sections Obstetrics, Gynecology which both will have definition of medical disorders followed by FAQ's and "Helpful Links" which would have links to other website for medical information.
That's all that I can think of right now. The above is to help guide you but I am flexible, if the website design dictates a better flow of information. Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with. Down the road, I will be looking to the winning designer to produce matching brochures, full, half and quarter page media ads to have on hand for the practices further needs.
