Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a demand generation company called DemandGenLogic. We work with technology and software companies in lead generation and corporate training and trade shows and marketing consulting. The design we are looking for is a modern technology feel with a lion design. We like blues and green hues or even purples, no orange. We had a logo designed 6 years ago, but need something fresh. I have attached the current logo. What we don't like about our current logo is the DemandGenLogic font color and size and the blue boarder, this make creating marketing material challenging. And something about this design doesn't allow to embroider shirts/hats very easily.
