Logo Design Brief

The non-profit teaches English to non-native speakers in the community, and provides a language exchange where native English speakers talk with our learners in English and in their native languages. The logo needs to represent the following: community, language, acceptance, communication. I have attached the logo of my wife's Gynecology practice. I really like the abstracted picture of the woman, though the logo does not need to have a woman in it. It might be cool if there are two "people" in the logo, arms open wide... I don't think I want designs of two faces looking at each other... as I don't think it represents community per se. In the attached logo you see the woman part of the flower. Maybe with this design the two people are seen as being in the community...
