Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for a 200 year old former Mill that is now available for vacation rentals. The property is divided into a number of smaller cottages. The Mill is named in a famous book 'Tarka The Otter' (by Henry Williamson) and has historical connections. The key features of the property are the design of the Manor House part, the water wheel, and the river. It would be great if we could incorporate elements of these into the design. The Mill is located on a river in a beautiful part of North Devon in the UK and enjoys fishing rights so that people may visit and fish the river.
We would like to create a logo that whilst it is for a historical building, is contemporary and conveys simplicity and elegance. The logo should be able to be used by itself without additional text, so that it can be used on many items including tableware. It will also be used on websites and signage. We shall be trying to attract corporate visitors to use the facility, therefore the logo should look professional. Ideally we would like the logo to use just one colour but we would consider more colours.

The logo does not need to have text on it, if the design allows it to be used without text, however if it does have text, the name "Town Mills" should be included. If the name is not part of the actual logo, we would like to look at a suitable font to be used alongside the logo.

- A graphical logo that somehow incorporates one or more of the key elements of the mill - The Manor house frontage with the castellated roof, the water wheel and the river. It does not need to have all three but would be good to include some of these.

- A simple clean design that is more graphical, and less text.
