Logo Design Brief

This will be the logo for a sailing catamaran called SV Damselfly. The logo we want is a damselfly (not a dragonfly) perched on a compass rose like it was perched on a blade of grass. Colors of compass rose is black line with negative Soave so white of boat shows through. Damselfly is black line with indigo design on wings with negative space so white of boat shows through. Would also like to see bright indigo blue on the body of the damselfly as an option also. Logo will need to work in both color and black and white. Combine globe, compass rose, and damselfly. We are looking for a logo that can be used cost effectively on hats, shirts, the boat, and other branding materials. compass rose should have the N, E, S, W (north, east, south, west). Damselfly should be heading forward on the bow of the boat so heading east to west. Would like to see it sitting on or near the N or E of the compass rose as well. Wings on the damselfly should be in line with the body but with a little flare. They should not be laying flat.
