Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a military/veteran law firm named After Service Advocates. We represent military members going through the military disability process and veterans going through the VA disability process.

I'm leaning towards the use of matte-navy/military/modern-blue & white as the primary colors. I do not want a red, white and blue motif.

This is a law firm and I'm not looking for logo recognition, so I want a mostly text based logo with a small graphic that communicates military service (star(s)?).

I have uploaded a competitor's logo that I think is well done. I know I have more text than this logo, but this logo shows what I mean by mostly text based and a small graphic that communicates military service.

Target Market(s)
