Logo Design Brief
****update 7/27****
At this time, I am only considering designs that are unique from those previously submitted. Designs that are copies of those already submitted will be eliminated unless you are confident your design is an improvement. Thank you!
*** update 7/25
Thank you for all of the wonderful designs! I have given the first place award - however, I am still receiving many gorgeous designs that I enjoy and are making me question my choice! So please, if you have a design you think will satisfy the brief, please submit. I will give monetary awards for second and third place.
Also, to be clear, I would also like to see the following in the design:
- more than two colors. I am liking combinations of lighter tones of pink, purple, orange, and blue that will look good against white or black background.
- the compass/degree markings/lines included somehow.
- movement of the phoenix that is less emblematic and more dynamic. I want to see the phoenix breaking free and rising.
- also, after reviewing the designs, I don't like the ones that are red and orange that are militaristic looking.
- feminine and gorgeous is the way to go!
- include the tag line: Jewelry - Home - Custom
- feel free to play with the fonts and include variety
Thank you all for your submissions. I am trying to give feedback for each and every one. ***
Original brief:
I'm a glass artist (mostly custom one of a kind jewelry pieces) looking to expand my marketing plan to include a consistent logo across platforms and in print. I'd like something representative of a phoenix rising from ashes, but a very simple, clean and stylized representation using a lot of color. Something feminine, curvy, and sensual, not a militarized type of representation. I'd like to see the rising motion depicted as well. I'd also like a hint of a compass or navigation somehow worked into the design (I love to sail). Rereading this, it sounds like a lot, but I'm hoping someone can help. I've included some designs that I like for one reason or another.
I don't understand how the sliders work for look and feel - I'll say:
more personable, feminine, playful, upmarket,
less conservative, traditional, serious, economical
Updates
I want to thank everyone that submitted a design. Some of you sent some very thoughtful, and beautiful designs. I selected the winner based on how they incorporated everything I was looking for in a cohesive way that really spoke to me. I intent to award a second and third place winner as soon as I am able to help support your work.
Thank you all, and job well done! Best wishes and good luck in your own journey!
