Logo Design Brief

We’re creating a new station logo. We are Station 14 in Long Beach, CA. We would like to have a Lagoon monster with either his head and eyes above water or any variation. It could also be the monster under the water, with the “14” covered in seaweed. The fire helmet can be red or yellow with the shield only having a “14” on it, or the monster doesn’t have to have a fire helmet if you somehow make it apparent that this is a stand alone fire station logo.

The design can be in ANY SHAPE. It doesn’t have to be in an Maltese Cross… But it must say “Long Beach Fire Department” or “L.B.F.D.”, it must say “14” (Prominently), and it must say “Colorado Lagoon” somewhere.

We dont want the monster to be “too cartoony” or “to scary”… more of a realistic monster.

As far as backgrounds, it can be underwater, there can be palm trees (Like half under water and half above water… I’m open to everything.

Some fog would be cool…buoys…palm trees… I’ve included pictures of the lagoon and marina/park that could inspire you for backgrounds. You could even add some pollution in the water.
