Art Design Brief
Hi, I need a mural design, sorry did not see that category but idea is similar to poster. I need something for my painter to go by. It's for my restaurant and bar called Cowboys and Indians Texas Indian Cuisine.
We do a mix of Texas foods like chicken fried steaks, big burgers and BBQ. And on the Indian side we do a lot of authentic Indian foods like vindallu and butter chicken and saag paneer that are my family home made recipes.
our menu is at www.cni713.com and we have a basic website there also.
This is going to be our new location, and I want it to be something special.
Our objective is the idea of community, if you're old enough to know the "cheers" TV Show, where everybody knows your name. We want all to be welcome and eat food like I ate growing up. I grew up eating Indian food made by my mom and my aunts and once I started school I got to try many great American foods, of which I really enjoyed the southern comfort foods. Who can say no to Chicken Fried Steak with some tasty gravy!?
I'd like to cover the side of the building that you see with a design that is illusion based (I've seen buildings that kind of change as you drive by just based on how it's painted) and a place where by seeing this mural you know it's got true Indian food and also the warmth of "BIG TEXAS" Southern hospitality and Southern food!
We also do many different fusion items on the menu.
I feel the side of the building that has the current mural should be the side the mural stays on but maybe part of the illusion part can make it's way to the front brown part of building too? Something that looks amazing and cool. I'm open to cool design ideas.
It's on a major street in Houston so I want the space to capture the eye everytime someone passes it by, this can become like our life sized bill board. I feel these guys down the street called ricebox have done an exceptional job with their lighting and design. Our design shouldn't be the same but should capture the attention of anyone who drives by. You can see how amazing their building looks from outside like a piece of art, I want our Indian Texas Art too!!
I've also included our logo from our site that we use.
The building is a square 50 ft on each side. The current side that has the mural probably has about 35-40 ft of usable space in the horizontal direction.
The height changes if you look at the photos you can see this. In the front is 10ft and 14ft behind.
Target Market(s)
people looking to dine in and eat food, make them salivate because of the message on this design. Age from 25-50 years old. People who eat out 3-5 times a week, don't mind paying for quality and getting a good product.

Must have
- I'd like some type of illusion of things as people drive towards it if you know how. Main thing is it has to catch the eye, this is our chance to pull in folks to come eat at our restaurant!Sayings: زندگی گلزار ہے and जिंदगी गुलज़ार है
Nice to have
- maybe some text in Hindi saying something fun., that can be figured out from context maybe do half english half hindi? Maybe some usage of LED lighting highlighting the specific drawing, so it looks even more cool at night. On the LED lighting idea would be that design has some areas where some lines can be put in lighting thru LED so people and see it be more highlighted and visible for emphasis.Ideas I have are henna patterns, Taj mahal, we do a Texas waffle, Texas star, we have the center of the Indian flag as part of a design.. "Texas Proud" I've shared a mural we've done before also. Here some of our food photos also (please ask if access is needed)https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOKS1ddDspGaYCJoYg4sAvI0gGTZVQqjSpNJwLMqLS6zF6bLJ7i6-aqQXQHo061wQ
