Logo Design Brief

I am looking to come up with a design for the name of my boat to be placed on the side of the boat and on t shirts. The name of the boat is very traditional (named after my mother) However, I do not want simple script as I find it hard to read. The name of the boat is "Miss Melanie" We are a sportfishing vessel. So I was thinking something simple for the name on the side of the boat then have a little additional flare added to it for the shirts.
