Logo Design Brief

We are a Surveying (Engineering) and technology based company, looking for a logo design. We previously engaged a graphic designer that produced a result that was somewhat satisfactory however, we felt that the final design was flat (in particular the design of the ‘X’) and needed more creativity. We are happy with the main text and would like to stay reasonably close to that. The letter ‘X’ at the end of the word ‘Geomatix’ is an area for focus. We have included examples from the graphic designer’s work and some other examples that were found online. We don’t want an exact copy of any of these but have included the examples to demonstrate the general concept of what we’re after. The ‘X’ should generally be geometric, incorporate some arrowheads (or some other nod to our industry) and be cohesive with the rest of the word. We would like the logo to be professional, easily read, modern and clean. As per the example we are looking for grey (#676767) with an accent of blue (#43b0f1).
