Mascot Design Brief

We need a mascot design for a new company Intranet that we are launching. The name voted on by employees is Coco (short for Corus Connection). We'd like to brand the Intranet "Coco" using a fun mascot. Our company is called Corus Orthodontists and we are a network of over 30 orthodontic clinics and 550 people total. We don't need to use a brand colour for the mascot but it should work well with our colours. See brand style guide.
We would like Coco to be an animal (a bird, dog or cat have been suggested) and we are open to ideas. Suggest a version of an animal smiling with braces to be relevant to our industry. She should look warm, friendly with a smile. Our doctors and staff at our clinics give people confidence and beautiful smiles every day.

Note - I liked the look of the mascot design under the mascot section on DesignCrowd's website of an OWL skiing. This type look/design would work well - friendly with rounded lines.

Target Market(s)

550 employees (predominantly female) who will be using the Intranet to find and search for company information. This is an internal website with company information - called an Intranet.

Requirements

Must have

• mascot should be an animal
  mascot should seem warm, friendly
  mascot should be smiling with braces

Nice to have

• Open to dog, cat, polar bear, monkey or other animals as well
  Animal should seem friendly
  colours chosen should match brand colours ....but no need to use colour from our palette; feel free to use more than one colour; prefer not to do blue.
  would like to see option with braces and one without (smiling)

Should not have

• Prefer animal outline with rounded edges vs. straight lines
  The main colour should not be brand blues
