Tattoo Design Brief
We are making an independent western movie called AMERICAN GUNSLINGERS set in the late 1800s deep south of the United States in which 2 main characters follow a map split in half that is tattooed on the back of their hands and partial forearms. We need the actual map design which will be recreated as a temporary tattoo for our 2 lead actors to put on. Map must be designed in this following description:
• Map must be large enough to split in 2. Half of the map will be on the back of a white outlaw’s right hand/wrist and the other half will be on a black preacher’s right hand/wrist (See reference pics of hands).
• The map must start with two Chinese characters that say "Sweet" and "Water". A crooked line runs from it and continues where it runs into another Chinese character that says "Mine". The line then runs off and branches into three lines going in different directions. The bottom line is the longest and it ends with a small cross next to another Chinese character that says "mine".
• Anything additional artwork to this map outside the Chinese symbols should include a compass symbol on the upper left hand corner and any simplistic art to signify lakes, small towns, and forests.
The final design should be on a transparent background in PNG format and be hi-res export ready for tattoo printing.
