Web Design Brief

We need to build a modern website for our Software-as-a-Service product which is used for collaborative design within enterprises.

We like the layout and feel of these websites:

As a software company that sells online services to other tech savvy people we need a fresh modern website/landing page that oozes awesomeness!...
Our online presence should give our would-be customers a good first impression of our company as well as enough information about our online services to want to sign-up to a trial of our solution.

As a company we have a solution that is technically superior in the emerging world of Cloud First distributed software application design, we are at the point where we are looking to scale, attract and grow our customer base, attract top-talent to join our team as we grow, and are open to investment opportunities in order to help us grow at a faster rate.

This document is intended for you, our would/be design partner to help get a better understanding of who we are, and what we are trying to achieve, so that you have a strong reference to draw inspiration from when designing our site and other associated artefacts.

Additionally, as we are a team of more technically focused developers we are potentially looking for a design partner to help us with other activities down the track depending on how successful this first interaction progresses.

In a Post-Covid world collaboration at a distance is something that many companies find troublesome especially when working on complex subject matter, like delivering cloud based software solutions. Imagine collaborating at the whiteboard and interacting with other teammates only now at a distance.
Qkly prides itself on being the trendy new-kid on the block, providing cutting edge solutions for a changing world. As such the product we provide is highly extensible to cater for a diverse range of use cases, to meet the complex needs of large enterprise customers.

We currently trade under the name of qkly, this is our existing website: https://www.qkly.com.au/

For the logo challenge, we would consider a fresh new name for our company or product which is used to help design Cloud based services. On AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.

We should have a logo and a brand image that other tech junkies would like to stick on the back of their MackBooks something like this. https://img.devrant.com/devrant/rant/r_1850409_87i4V.jpg (You can have a bit of fun here and we can revise and iterate the best ideas)

Additionally because our product makes use of squares to design things we think our logo should have some connection with squares to it, something along the lines of this (https://cdn3.vectorstock.com/i/1000x1000/99/77/colored-squares-logo-vector-7069977.jpg) but cooler, and it must be clear as an app icon and when used as a sticker on a laptop.

Requirements

Must have

• Must look amazing. And should be as good as our competitor listed sites. It must include all the sections of a website you would normally expect for a software-as-a-service company.
  - It must be responsive on web, mobile and tablets
  - it must a a navigation bar which is two levels deep.
  - it must have a contact us section where users can send an email to our company.
  
  Must have a feature and image section which is presented nicely with placeholder images or graphics which call out the following key features:
  - Collaborate within workspaces on our Virtual Whiteboard.
  - Focus on Cloud First Solution Architectures
  - Support for popular enterprise design models
  - Create your own palettes to suit your organization's specific requirements
  - Explore what others are doing on our marketplace.
  - Seamless integration with popular enterprise tools.
  - API First with a great developer experience
  - Generate popular assets to source control to help speed up your DesignOps maturity

Nice to have

• We are looking for a great design first, but it would be ideal if this website could be coded in Vue.js (This would make it easier for us to manage the code moving forwards)
  - We would prefer the website to be coded in Vue.js 3 or Vue,js 2.
  - Having the code be clean would be great with Vue components created for the major sections in a format that makes sense for us when we take it over.

Should not have

• JQUERY, Flash
  or old be old school libraries.
