Logo Design Brief

This logo is 15 years old and I like our logo, but I've lost the higher resolution versions of these files, so I at least need to get this updated. But I figure I should also take this opportunity to also see if I want to update it.

I want my logo to indicate connection, communication, and coming together.

Who we are:
We are a political consulting and strategic communications firm. We work with political candidates and ballot initiatives and help advocacy organizations develop successful strategies that increase engagement and turnout.

What I like about my existing logo:
I like the graphic part of my logo and the colors.

What I want:
The font used isn't bad, but it could probably be better. I do like the existing colors, but am open to modifications.

What I don't want:
I definitely do not want is anything red/white/blue, stars, stripes, flags or anything that seems like traditional political imagery.
