Logo Design Brief

Logo needed for our heavy equipment repair company. Focus on Fire Trucks and fire equipment. I am a diesel mechanic who is also a Firefighter/EMT with US certifications for Emergency Vehicle Technician/Master Mechanic. I am also a commercial diver and have had to 'rescue' excavators that have gone over the side or have sunk more than a few times. This is an established company which hasn't had a logo but needs one. Most of the work comes from construction equipment (Loaders, Excavators, bull dozers, dump trucks, etc). I would like to look at incorporating the Kirby Morgan Superlite 27 helmet in the middle of the maltese cross. The outsides of the cross, instead of having axes, ladders, and fire nozzles could have wrenches, a cutting torch, etc (tools of the trade for a mechanic).
