Logo Design Brief

Need logo for new entity, Meridian Gate Agribusiness Holdings. "MGH". This is the investment arm for Meridian Prime Food Company MPFC (logo attached).

MPFC is a meat & seafood global trader/ distributor.
MGH is an agribusiness investment fund. It will invest into meat trade finance, farms, food producing assets.

MGH's name came from the "Meridian Gate" of the Forbidden City in Beijing. It is connected to the MPFC because we trade with China. The company's office is near the Forbidden City. The goal for MGH logo design is that it has an East West feel. It can be modern but it should make reference to the name's origin, the actual Meridian Gate. The colors should be red and gold. It would be ideal if it looked somewhat related to the MPFC logo. The visual identity should be sharp, solid, strong and stable feeling. Traditional is fine. It should not have a tech start up vibe.

Must have

• A visual depiction of the Meridian Gate, even if just partial reference to it
  Color (Find the actual Forbidden City colors and match)
  Note how the Shooting Star is on the MPFC logo - try to depict the 'energy' which flows through the meridian lines in the body. This is the lifeblood. The Prime Meridian is also the longitudal line which encompasses the Earth.

Nice to have

• Can have reference to nature and agriculture
  Just like with Meridian Prime being the main text, and Food Company being the sub text, we could do Meridian Gate as the main text with Agribusiness Holdings as the sub text.

Should not have

• Cartoonish look
