Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new app called RYSE. RYSE is a social media platform where users track their fitness and health through posting content that their friends/followers can interact with. Think myfitnesspal meets instagram. We would like to see designs that communicate: strength, growth, power, inspiration. We would like the design to be minimalistic so that it can be printed on different things like cups/shirts but also be good for the digital app.

One idea I had would be making the Y a phoenix and the wings would be upwards in Y shape. I thought of a phoenix because they rise from ashes.
