Logo Design Brief
MyMedsMatter.com is an advocacy website that helps advocates of compounding pharmacies connect with their elected representatives at the state and federal levels. It is also a source of current news and opinion about the compounding pharmacy profession. The current site was pulled together in less than week, including the terribly amateurish and meaningless logo. We are rebuilding and redesigning the site on a new, responsive Drupal theme so that the site will be presented properly on any screen. Here is a demo of the theme we are using: http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/47984.html.

Requirements
Must have
- A logo treatment for MyMedsMatter. If the designer creates a method to distinguish among the three words, the capitalization as shown is not critical, nor is the use of all three as a single word. In fact, I'd prefer to render it as a declarative sentience, that is: My meds matter.
A symbol (bug) in the design in some fashion. It can be separate from the type or incorporated into the type such as, for example, forming a bug with one of the letter forms in one of the words.
A color palette consistent with the theme indicated.
A horizontal (landscape) layout.
Nice to have
- Compounded medications are used for humans and animals. However, this particular site is used to target certain markets for compounds. For example, this site does NOT target women who use bioidentical hormones. It does target:
Companion-animal (dogs and cats) owners
Horse owners
Men and women, boys and girls
The physicians and veterinarians who prescribe the medicines.
The design elements should be appropriate to all. For example, if the logo were to include a photo, it would an extended family of mom, dad, the kids, grandma and grandpa, the family cat and dog.
Should not have
- Compounded medications are customized for individual patients. Although they are often provided in common dosage forms such as pills, tablets and capsules, visual representations of these dosage forms is automatically associated with mass manufactured drugs, which for many reasons we do not want to associate in any way with compounded medications So we can not have any visual references to common manufactured-drug dosage-forms. Compounding pharmacy-appropriate visuals are items such as a mortar and pestle.
Should not use cheesy clip art!
