Web Design Brief

Gerber Tours is a worldwide leader in student educational and performing arts travel programs. We provide high-quality tours that exceed the expectations of our participants/customers and enhance a student's learning experiences. Our mission is to forever change how every student sees the world around them. Our company has 3 distinct brands: Gerber Tours (www.gerbertours.com), Contemporary Tours (www.contemporarytours.com) and American Classic Tours & Music Festivals (www.amclass.com).

As part of our travel programs, we offer participants the option to purchase travel insurance. We are looking to re-design the page that offers each participant the option to buy insurance during their online registration process to maximize the number of customers who purchase the recommended option. The registration process is set up behind a password protected registration website.

We are attaching the HTML for the current page so you can start with the current format that this design is a part of- for example, the header & footer and the "Registration Step # section".

Please note that this current design was created for the "Contemporary Tours" brand as you may note the use of the orange color on the page. We would like to design the page so that we can easily implement the same design for all 3 brands. As you will see from looking at the brands online, they all share a similar blue that can be used where we need a color as you will see on our SAMPLE mock-up that we have included as an attachment.

In our SAMPLE mock-up (file attached named "SAMPLE webpage mock-up.pdf") we have icons at the top of the insurance option which is meant to be a link to a PDF that is an advertisement for each type of travel insurance. So, however you decide to design that element, please make sure to include that as a link that will open a PDF in a new tab. The "None" option will open up the PDF attached named "Note to Parents.pdf". The "Student Deluxe" option will open up the PDF attached named "Janice & Jane.pdf". The "Student Deluxe with CFAR" option will open up the PDF attached named "CFAR.pdf".

The sample mock-up is just a sample draft idea of how we would want it to look. Please feel free to re-design completely or as close to this design as you wish using your best design judgment. The goal is to make it look very professional and convince customers to select the recommended "Student Deluxe with CFAR" option as this will fully protect them in case they need to cancel.

It is very important to use all the copy as its presented since the language has all been approved by the insurance company's compliance team.

*VERY IMPORTANT*
Please design this so that it is MOBILE friendly. Many of our customers register for our trips on their mobile devices. So, because we are presenting 3 options to compare we need to make sure the design works well on small mobile screens. So, please present your designs for both large computer screens and small mobile devices so we can see how it would look at the various different screen sizes.
