Logo Design Brief

I am starting a website/organization called "Educators For Animals" to pool resources on issues facing domestic "pets," farmed animals, and wild animals so teachers can incorporate compassion for animals into their curriculum. The logo needs to include "Educators For Animals," and I'm thinking an apple (universal symbol for teachers) and either one animal (total) OR one from each of the three categories: pets (cat or dog), farmed (cow, pig, chicken), and wild (whale, elephant, etc - open to any here). I don't want intricate outlines of animals, I like big fonts and super simple, clear figures. For example: A filled in silhouette of a cow would be chosen over a line drawing of one. I want this to look cool big on a t-shirt or as a tiny logo on the top of a website. One idea I had was having an animal with spots and one spot would be shaped like an apple. Not required, just an idea.
