Logo Design Brief

We want a logo for our Rum Festival/Conference. The actual text needs to be "Rum Fest" and we want it to be classy and fun, avoiding pirates, beach cocktails and maritime themes. We plan to embroider the logo on apparel and laser-etch it on merchandise, so we need to have a vector image format of the final design. Possible/optional visual elements we are open to include: sugarcane, oak barrels, pot still (distillation apparatus).
