Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my company Megan McDonald Solutions. Formerly Unlocking Dyslexia, I added Executive Function and Education services to my dyslexia tutoring platform. I tutor students with learning disabilities in reading using a proven scientifically based method. I tutor individuals of all ages with executive function deficits, specifically targeting organization, prioritization, planning, follow through, initiative, etc. I providing guidance via webinars, individuals consultation, and development of curriculum, for those interested in home education. My services also include advocacy, and development of 504 and IEP plans. My audience is an educated adult who values working hard. My audience is willing to put forth significant resources in terms of time, energy and financial support, knowing the payoff will be exponential, and, likewise, that the risks of the status quo for their child will have a much higher price. please see unlockingdyslexia.com and meganmcdonaldsolutions.com

Requirements

Must have

• clarity in terms of readability (fonts etc) and message (HOPE!) . I love these kids, and I know that I can flip their educational journey. They should not be defined by the paradigm of our schools in which text is a determinant. Text is a threshold. I can help them unlock the truth of themselves. They deserve this, and a whole lot more.

Nice to have

• Somehow outline the three components of my business (dyslexia, exec function and education). Somehow lend me credibility! I have a BA and a JD. There is no "degree in dyslexia" and the condition is not taught in medical schools or in reading teachers' educations. I might be as good as it gets :). Nineteen years experience, I know this inside and out. The children are BRILLIANT. Our school system is currently failing them (see unlockingdyslexia.com--esp. blog). One of my students just got a 36 on the reading portion of the ACT and a 35 on English.

Should not have

• any blurry or blending type logo. I didn't check lettermark below because I was concerned it might make readability harder. Often less can be more in this arena due to already stressed reading systems . No puns--they don't go over with my people :).
