Logo Design Brief

We need a logo designed for our new sister company Devoted Building Solutions. Our current company is Devoted Tree Solutions (you can check the website for current logo) DBS will be doing residential and some smaller commercial construction work. Ranging from outdoor decking to framing and additions to full reconstructive remodel on a home, or even building from the ground up.
We are creating a brand with the "Devoted" name but will probably refer to this business as DBS most of time so open to either design.
Devoted is a company that is committed to giving back to our communities. A portion of all proceeds goes to our 2 charities -Childrens hospital and Food Lifeline.
We would like the design to incorporate the shield (crest) we use on Devoted Tree Solutions however we are not tied to it. open to new ideas.
