Tattoo Design Brief
I have quite a few elements I want to weave together which I will explain shortly. For location, I was thinking part of my chest and onto my upper arm. Or could be my arm across to my back shoulder. Here are the various elements.
ELEMENT 1
Playing Cards. I have 5 kids (2 boys, 3 girls) and 1 grandson.
Playing Card 1 (Club): Jaxon (Boy) and Rayna (Girl)
Playing Card 2 (Diamond) Justice (Boy) and Reyna (Girl)
Playing Card 3 (Spade) Andrew (Grandson) and Sharon (Girl)
Since the 2 boys name starts with J, they can be JACKS
The 2 girls' names mean "Queen"
A typical face card will have the Queen be mirrored top and bottom for example. I think we can do them together to match the name. For example, on Card 1. (R) for the Queen on top left.. and J for (Jack) on lower right. Torso of Queen on top, Torso (flipped of Queen is the Jack). The other cards would follow a similar pattern.
*Note: if this was a blackjack hand it would be 21.
NEW NOTE ON THE CARD ELEMENT. The split card idea may not work, so I am fine with another take on it. I would be fine with the cards being J,Q,J,Q, Ace. I could then write their names on each Jaxon, Reyna, Justice, Rayna, Andrew / Sharon. If you choose to do the 4 cards, do not bother doing any sort of graphic in the middle, just make it the 'suit' as a larger part (Heart, Club, Diamond, Spade). You can also collate the cards a bit together, so they are fanned out. If you do that route, try to leave a bit of space for the names. I can go vertical on the cards too with the name. So do what you want here and what you think will look good.
ELEMENT 2
Compass
Numbers will represent the headings north ( 1 ) east ( 2 ) south ( 6 ) west ( 8 ) .
ELEMENT 3
Skeleton key with 3 teeth. For the ring (handle) of the key, it could actually be the compass Element 2 and the rest of the key comes out of that to form the skeleton key. On each of the 3 teeth of the key are the numbers 2, 1, 5. On the shaft of the key the word "FOUND".
ELEMENT 4
Lock. The lock is 'locked'. On the face of the lock should be the astrological symbol for Virgo.
This represents myself
ELEMENT 5:
Mexican skull girl.... transition from partially skeletal to 'alive'.
This represents my mom who died as well as my wife.
ELEMENT 6:
Pirate: The pirate is the main backdrop who will have the cards on or near him, holding a chain perhaps with the lock and key, and the intent is to protect the cards and the Mexican skull girl. This is to represent me, who will watch over his family beyond death.

Must have
- Elements listed in project description
Nice to have
- Ancillary elements to fill in voids that fit the 'pirate' like theme. Established 1972 is good as well.
