CD Cover Design Brief

I need an artwork for my first record which will be called "The Undercover Man". It is a concept-album on a blase musician who takes refuge in the quest for women and his excesses. I do not want to use photos of myself on the cover but go with the idea of a puppet, a puppet, automaton etc with possibly in the background elements that could recall the concept of my album. The final design must appeal above all, in rather dark tones, or in black and white, or red and black for example.
