Logo Design Brief

I am looking for a logo for a commercial construction company in South Texas. This company will be doing all types of commercial construction from structures, development, design, etc. I want it to be unique and stand out from everyone else. I'm not a fan of all the structures you see around a lot of the construction logos. I would like the name to stand out along w/ MDC. Looking for something that is professional and sleek. I would like to see designs with the color combinations from the attachment. I'm open to other color combinations but want it to stand out, but still be more modern contemporary, not extremely bright. I want people to see the logo at a job site and know that’s “Modern Day Construction” or "MDC".
