Talism is a personal safety device product that will be marketed to urban 4- year private university students, with female students as our primary target market. While we want the logo to appeal to women, we don't want men to perceive the device as a female only product.
The device includes a panic button, personal alarm, and GPS locater in a pod that can be inserted into a fashionable costume jewelry line that includes lockets, bracelets cocktail rings, and watches. When activated, the device transmits an alert message to campus police or, if outside of campus boundaries a message to a call center that connects to 911. Compared to existing personal alert devices, ours is smaller, lighter and more fashionable.
Our name, Talism, comes from a variant of the word, "talisman" which is a charm worn for personal protection." Our device is meant to be empowering for students, who are able to have security without sacrificing fashion. We want to distance brand from security devices that are targeted at elderly people (no "help I've fallen and I can't get up"), and are not interested in using fear tactics to sell products.

Requirements
Must have
- We want the logo to be "university neutral," so we have to be cautious with color schemes and fonts.
Nice to have
- We have not settled on a tagline at this time. If you have a suggestion, please feel free to let us know! We would like to have a space on the logo where we can put the tagline in.
Should not have
- Nothing like "help I've fallen and I can't get up."
