Logo Design Brief

We need a new logo for our company called Precision Underwriters Laboratory. We do "Physics-of-Failure" examinations for underwriters on damaged equipment and then advise them if it is an insured peril or not and what the extent of the damage is.
For example - A business client of the underwriter will put in a claim for lightning damage to their computer server. The insured's supplier will send in his damage report to the underwriter on behalf of the insured. The underwriter will then appoint us to assist them in the matter. They will courier the computer server to us for failure analysis. We will then use the latest scientific equipment to analyse the equipment to verify if it was indeed damaged by lightning or not. If we identify lightning damage, the underwriter will settle the claim. However, if we identify wear-and-tear as the cause of the failure, the underwriter (our client) does not have to settle the claim.
The equipment we use includes X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopes, Thermography, oscilloscopes, Curve Tracers, and the like. We also use Atomic Force examinations on the equipment and are the only laboratory in Africa that provide this expertise. Therefore our analysis is highly scientific and we are deemed expert witnesses in any court of law. Our employees all have Masters of Science (MSc) degrees as a minimum requirement and most are PhDs, with "Physics-of-Failure" as their field of expertise.
The underwriters normally appoint us on expensive claims, because of our fees. Our fees are higher than the market segment and we want to keep this image as an exclusive service that is highly scientific and you pay this fee for our expertise. We are also the only failure analysis laboratory in Africa that can provide this expertise at this level and we want to keep on portraying this exclusivity. Our motto is" Science. Applied to Insurance."
We need a logo that portrays the above, but that is minimalistic in nature. We also need your advice on the colours that we should use for our logo to portray what we have explained in this section.
We have thought to use an "atom" type logo because we feel that this portrays the scientific nature of our business. We add a few examples that we saw on the internet of the "atom" logos that we like in this brief. We would like you to use the "atom" design as a basis and provide us with creative options in this regard.

The colours must reflect the high professional value that will be added by us - scientific value. We are the only laboratory on the continent (Africa) that can provide this scientific value to the Underwriting Industries. The atom (see attachments) must form an integral part of the logo.
