Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new cafe in Melbourne called REVOLVER.

The final design will be DISTINCTIVE, SIMPLE, TIMELESS, VERSATILE and APPROPRIATE. We'd like the design to have some PERSONALITY to it. Whilst not essential, ideally we'd like to see a design that incorporates a distinctive asset alongside the word REVOLVER.

Whilst REVOLVER is a new Australian cafe, we DO NOT want to see images of Australia in the design. For example - no Aussie flag, kangaroo etc.

We also DO NOT want to see images of guns in the design.

The final design will be used for signage (front of cafe), menu, packaging (take-away coffee cups), website, business cards and all company documents.

Our preferred fonts (in no particular order) are: Futura Medium | Garamond Bold | Optima Bold | Bodoni 24 and Helvetica Bold. However, if you would prefer to use another font for your design - go right ahead. We look forward to seeing it.

We have no preference for upper case vs lower case, or combination of the two. What's most important is that the design is MEMORABLE and projects a 'modern' fun cafe.

We will pick the final design that best answers this creative brief.

Professional adults who love great tasting food. Most of the customers will be university educated with above average income.

Must have

• Our design project must have the word REVOLVER.
  
  REVOLVER must be DISTINCTIVE...

Nice to have

• Whilst we are happy to consider other colours, our preference is white font on black background. We would like all staff to wear black tops with the REVOLVER logo on their shirts.
  
  Ideally we would also like to see a design that incorporates a distinctive asset with the word REVOLVER.

Should not have

• No images of Australia - for example, Aussie flag, kangaroo etc
  
  No images of guns in the design. Most Australian's are anti guns, and even though the cafe name is REVOLVER, we don't want to have any visual association with guns.
  
  No images of kitchen utensils - knives, forks or spoons. We also don't want to see an image of a coffee cup. Too many cafes do that, and we want our cafe to be unique and DISTINCTIVE....
