Logo Design Brief

My hometown high school club ice hockey team, the Freeport Yellowjackets, needs a new logo design for their 25th anniversary season. The alumni are using the event to raise money for the kids and provide them with a new jersey. Our team colors are blue and yellow. We are looking for a design that looks professional (see NHL team logos) and is unique... as in avoiding the typical cartoon bee. We would like to see clean, simple designs that may or may not include the following... specific aspects of ice hockey and/or bee-related items (ex. honeycombs, hives, swarms of bees) and/or unique lettering. Logo text is not necessary. The logo will be placed on a hockey jersey.
