Logo Design Brief
We are a new institute of the University of British Columbia. We need to design a new institute logo. UBC BioProducts Institute (see profile here, https://bpi.ubc.ca/). See existing logo (attached) and a starting idea for new logo. New logo should be simple, elegant, no-shading of colours (so it can be reproduce nicely in black & white as well. Our focus is on Research using bio-based (forest products) starting materials, and transform them into advanced materials, i.e. from plant to bio degradable plastics, new polymers, etc. Attached files - logo with texts is the current logo (which we don't like). The other (leave with chemical structure) is a simple design idea that we tend to like.
Updates
Designs received so far have not resonated 100% with the team yet. I am providing feedbacks to leading choices. I would like designers to review what we down-select, so you get the feel on what we tend to like. We encourage designers who received feedback to revise and submit again. We will select a winner by Feb.9
