Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new company based in Austin, TX called "Stoic Coffee Co." We sell coffee and coffee accessories designed to promote the stoicism philosophy. We're trying to spread the core values of ancient stoicism, but modernize the messaging, look and feel of the brand. We want the brand to inspire young people to attack the day with strength, passion, and caffeine. The design should communicate coffee, maybe a skull or hourglass (just brainstorming - not required), confidence, wisdom & strength. I want a modern look and feel to the logo, like nike or apple.
