Logo Design Brief

We are after a logo for a company called "Away Voice & Data.

Away voice and data has been one of the driving forces behind the direction of telecommunications in Tasmania (australia) for the last 15 years. They provide a solid, reliable solution to problems that new start up’s keep leaving behind. A new logo (ok a logo, since we don’t already have one) is the beginning to our companies complete rebranding process. It needs to convey the strength, determination, and reliability that we have become known for in our industry. We are now making a move to become number one and need our logo to reflect the top player in the market, we need for clients to look at our logo and not have a question about who is at the top.

We want our logo to become a timeless symbol for our company.

We have recently taken over a company called Karl Wadley Communications which also has a strong presence in its city, hence wanting to incorporate this into our logo. We are playing the take over as a partnership and endeavour to maintain their own identity in their city as a division of Away Voice And Data. Ideally the logo we select will be able to be used as a front for both companies with their respective company text beneath.

We are trying to convey the following; Progressive, adaptable, solid, modern, reliable, strong, Serious. We want to look shiny, professional and new but at the same time we need our logo to portray a feeling of dependability and company history (we have been around for 15 years but the “partnership” is new)

Our company specialises in data, telephone and electrical.

So we either need a logo that can stand alone with text underneath/beside, or one logo that incorporates both Away voice and data and Karl Wadley communications into it somehow. If the logo could somehow inclue Something that symbolises joining together to make a whole maybe that would work we would be equally happy with a good solid modern logo though.

Any further questions or directions please ask.

Updates

We have had a few solid options through so far, great job. In terms of colours used, a few designs are using the blue hues from our website. As mentioned previously we are doing a complete branding overhaul as part of this process the website is being redeveloped as well... lets face it, it is pretty bad! I am just mentioning it so that you don’t feel bound by blue, silver is most likely going to become a colour central to our brand. We are however open to other options too, a metallic feel might work.

Once we find the design, we will work with the designer to get the colours right.

As a side note we are more than happy to write a review for any designers who put forward the top designs in our competition if requested.
