Logo Design Brief

We are a new company in the UK looking to create a brand for a new outdoor apparel range. The name is Grannan Bear, which is a play on the phrase 'to grin n bear it';. We are looking for the logo to be a child friendly bear, with a grin in a cartoon format.
This logo will be at the focus of our designs and will be printed on different types of apparel such as hoodies, t-shirts and beanie hats. as well as being used on all of our marketing material. We hope to extend the brand further by incorporating the Grinnan Bear character into a childrens story book and possibly create a soft comforter toy . With this in mind I would imagine this would have to be a fairly simple design. The clothing will be mostly earthly colours so please consider this when being creative on our design....
