Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company of shoes (flip-flops) made with recycled plastic waste from our oceans and we also want to spread out the word and our mission to help, clean and protect our oceans. Our product is flip-flop sandals 100% made with recycled materials and we are the pioneers of using Ocean Plastic Waste. We will also collaborate with companies and organizations that work and help to face the Ocean Plastic Waste problem on our planet. We may develop other types of shoes very soon. The brand name is OCEAN CLEANUP, but for trademark registration and product identification, we want CLEANUP to have a small space in the brand name. Like if we place CleanUp underneath OCEAN, we should just use the space between the "c" and the "a" to give you an idea of the size. The goal is for the consumer to ask for "an Ocean product” when they go to the stores, CleanUp is totally in the background and simply reminds us of our mission, not our product. It should be like a small last name. We want to have in our logo a marine animal if possible, to show the Marine "Universe" that we want to protect, but we are totally open for suggestions. Recycled signals, clean signals, animals, stars, etc, etc. something smart, minimalist, elegant, funny...We need a logo to be used independently from the brand, able to be used as an independent icon, which consumers will recognize as ours. Of course, we need it to be unique if we want to use it as our own logo and also, its reproduction on the shoes (the stripe in the flip flop sandal) or any other support must be possible. As for the type of letter, it should be natural, modern, (we speak in the project of the new generations, of the millennials as our potential consumer), small letter probably better than capital as they look closer and less official, if possible, a bit surfer, and a type of letter that you can perfectly use and will look OK on the strip of the flip flop, etc., and we like the blue tones because they go with all the marine environment. The idea is to have something modern, minimalist, fresh, easy to use, easy to be recognized as ours and that transmits good vibes, not very obvious but with a smart connection to the project. A logo appealing to be used by our consumers who will become our ambassadors. It should provoke a smile but among all, a positive feeling based on a positive message.
