Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company based in Oakland, SF Bay Area called "Data'NAction' (Data In Action). We provide research, evaluation, planning, training/ technical assistance, and program development services to government and nongovernment agencies, non-profit organizations, schools, public health, social services, juvenile justice organizations. Our firm will be collecting data across multiple sectors (social services, public health, juvenile justice, schools), analyzing the data, and producing evaluation reports to help evaluate and develop programs. Our work will focus on reaching local (US-based) and international (developing countries) programs especially to help improve the health and wellbeing of children, women and their communities. We would like to see designs that highlight use of data in collaboration with various agencies for decision-making such as policy or program development, quality improvement, accountability and social impact. We use both quantitative data and qualitative and pride ourselves on working across various systems and diverse communities. Very importantly, we work closely with high-risk communities and children, using a resilience perspective to build on their strengths and assets. Given limited resources in the nonprofit sector, it's critical to have data to focus on most relevant, evidence-based solutions. The final design should communicate having a social impact on communities, action, focus on strong foundation/ strengths, collaboration across multi-system, progress/ growth, and presenting/analyzing data.

Requirements

Nice to have

• A global look that will appeal to folks working in various countries- that speaks diversity, community. but is succinct and strong. Also whether DNA needs to be part of the logo or separate, I'm open. Related to the logo, there might be a punch line: Advance Social Change.
  I'd like colors to be vibrant - orange or green or brown (African or Indian colors?)
  I'd like the text to be creative as well (for example: different colors or font for D N A or Action etc).
