Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company located in the Treasure Valley (Boise, Idaho area). Our brand plays off the fact that our major freeway, Interstate 84, is central to all areas we intend to focus our marketing efforts and serve. We will be selling a wide range of seasonal apparel such as winter coats or summer gear and related items to other types of clothing and accessories. These items would be useful to the people residing within the Treasure Valley and beyond.The design we're looking for should be something that could easily be embroidered but should also look modern and accessible in print and online. We want to avoid anything too "busy" or cluttered. Ideas we've discussed include using the actual Interstate 84 road sign incorporated into the design, or finding a way to use negative space to illustrate our brand effectively. We are also interested in something timeless that could survive decades and become our identity at a glance (such a Starbucks and others). We want our customers to know we are one of them (locals), as we are "Off The 84".
