Logo Design Brief

We are launching a new catering company in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. This company will operate in a tradition-rich region, and will mostly serve traditional dishes with a modern twist. For that reason, we wanted the logo to reflect both ideas: - Tradition: the “Poya” design is typical of this part of Switzerland. It’s a type of black-on-white paintings that used to depict the cows going up the mountains at the end of Winter and is very, very recognizable. I’ve put examples of this design in the files package. - Modernity: We would like the logo to be of a “hipster cook”: a big guy, with a big beard, big tattoos, big knives or kitchen utensils, big smile – you get the jist. We need him to be smiling, to give a welcoming vibe and to make people smile when they see him. Please get creative on that design, he needs to be recognizable! The logo needs to be a “poya” version of that guy, with our name underneath (Boccard Traiteur). No need to over-complicate the design, but we need it to be: - Recognizable (we need to instantly recognize the poya as well as the chef depicted)- Funny, hipsterish, edgy --> very modern - I believe it will be more recognizable in a round shape, but we can work with a square one if you prefer- Black and white, obviouslyWe really need this logo to stand out, so don't hesitate to get very creative with your ideas!
