Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a company that runs luxury stabling and equestrian care for horses.
Thoughts About Design:
Business: Brand new luxury stabling for wealthy individuals and their horses based in Hertfordshire.
Concept: I am flexible to your ideas, however the design is to be classic, luxury/regal, clean, simple, i would love the British flag to be incorporated into the image somewhere but subtle. The company was founded in 1973 and i would like a small Est. 1973 as well.
Colour : I am open to suggestions, initial thoughts dark blue background with gold writing or imagery. Something luxury.
Image:"Gresham Livery"; a horse, grazing, standing or possibly jumping. Happy to look at emblems eg crests etc
