Logo Design Brief

I need a logo designed for a community-wide strategic planning process in order to easily identify the project as coordinated by, but separate from the Town itself. The Town has recently completed an official branding guide, which is included for reference.

The logo should reflect the rural nature of the community, but should also show progress and growth. The community places a high value on its oak trees, so drawing inspiration from oak trees (or branches, acorns, leaves, etc) may be a good starting point.
