Banner Ad Design Brief
We are a start-up in San Francisco that sells consignment clothes with a percentage of the proceeds donated to charity. Also, volunteer groups can conduct dress drives and send them to us and we will sell them and give their charity back 60% of the proceeds.
We have several uses for banners:
- Home page banner:
- Promote timely Flash Sales (they last only 96 hours) which happen 2x/week
- Promote how good it feels to give back and shop
- Promote any special promotions such as a Gift With Purchase
- Community banner:
- Promote the lifestyle
- Promote any particular group conducting a dress drive
If you are going to submit one banner it is to be for an upcoming sale, as the two attached files address (maternity sale). If we find the right designer we will consider working with them beyond the design contest for future sale banners as well as others
We consider our 'competitors' to be The Fashion Project, The RealReal, ThredFlip, ThredUp, LikeTwice. Our key differentiator is the charitable components and how groups are conducting dress drives to raise money.
We are in the midst of changing our company name, tagline and logo. The new company will be called 'ModaVive' and our tagline is 'Refashioned Giving'
Target Market(s)
Our initial audience is young women 16 - 30. We will be focusing on Prom February through May which appeals to 16 - 18 year olds.
We also have maternity-wear. We want these women to feel fashionable
We are focused on individuals who want to give back.
