Logo Design Brief
Task Description
I need a logo design for a new company called Lucid Engineering.
Service Summary
Lucid Engineering is an Electrical Engineering Consultancy performing project management of construction and design projects across a range of industries. Additionally, we perform electrical design, verification and certification services.
Look & Feel
While we work in a technical industry, personal relationships bring in the work and the repeat customers. Thus, I'm after a contemporary & professional look that stands out. Don't feel obliged to use traditional sizes, shapes or layouts. We are an organisation of young, vibrant leaders with vision and drive - I would like the logo to reflect this.
I haven't got any preconceived ideas - a word or picture play on Lucid would be cool - such as the 'u' forming the bottom of a light bulb. However, I'm open to suggestion keeping in mind the contemporary & professional look. I want the brand to communicate clear and elegant solutions to engineering problems. The icon will become the basis for the company branding & will subsequently be used in letter heads & email signatures etc. You are free to experiment with colours and styles.

Hi all,
Thank you for your work so far. After looking at a few concepts, I think the use of the light bulb (I admit it was my idea) seems to feel a bit like a tradesman.
Ultimately, I'm after an elegant, professional look, nothing too tacky or lower class.

Hi all,
I'd like to explore some ideas of capital 'LE' displayed prominently with the words 'Lucid Engineering' nearby to make the connection of the company name.
Actually, on second thoughts, you even need to have the entire company name in there. A cool tangle of LE would be interesting.
