Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a safety and compliance company called CheckSpot Systems. We have a tagging system with an incorporated flashing light which lights up red if the item has not been checked and green when it is checked. For example the tag is attached to an excavator to make sure it is checked before the start of a shift. We want to incorporate the colours of orange and black and because the tags are round we want the logo to be round too. the final design should communicate safety and compliance. Perhaps something visual that indicates something has been checked like a tick?
