Logo Design Brief

We would like to update the look of our current church logo to be more modern/timeless. Would like to keep the cross/circle but make it look more modern and even add some movement to it. The paint brush strokes are hard to have printed and the yellow is hard to have as a secondary color on our website and other printed pieces. The font of the text is fine, but if you have a better suggestion we are open to it. Also, colors can change if needed, but would like to stick with the blue and gray. Would be interested in see a different tertiary color than yellow. Need to be able to have the Cross/circle stand alone as well as have a version of the full logo.
