Web Design Brief

About the business
I am starting a new consultancy business called "Edge Writing Solutions". I have asked for logo designs through Design Crowd and am in the process of finalising these. I have a professional background and am an excellent and passionate writer and I want this professionalism conveyed through a modern, strong (confident) but simple, professional and elegant website. For SEO purposes, the services I will offer will include, but not be limited to, grants, submissions, proposals, strategic documents, complex correspondence, curriculum vitae and resumes, business cases, reports, training (grants and report writing). I will be based in Perth, Western Australia.

I would prefer the website be presented in black and white but I am not averse to colour, provided it's not gaudy. I want a header band across the top with the capacity to insert my logo (which I will send to the successful web builder) and the nature of the services "Strategic Research and Writing Services". I also want a linked in icon and a contact us button to the right (in the header).

I want a level one menu item underneath the header with the following menus - About (homepage), Services, Testimonials, and Contact (page to include a contact form).

I would like the following text to appear on the homepage as a highlight - like a drawcard for visitors to the site about my passion for what I do - "Harnessing the power of the written word".

I want the capacity for a photo of me to be inserted on the About page.

I would like testimonials to feature distinctly, possibly in a box type format, either horizontally across the page or a couple or few in a row. There needs to be clear delineation of the person providing the testimonial and the testimonial itself.

Generally though I want a one column website that is accessible to those with disabilities. This is important to me as I believe all people should have access to website data.

I want the website to be responsive to tablets and mobile devices with high level SEO. One that is easy to add page headings to, and easy to amend and add plug ins. Maybe a wordpress site? The website must be compatible with Go Daddy Hosting as I have paid for that.

Use of imagery is fine provided it is open source and relevant to the focus of the business.

Contact Information for Business Card

Business card - I would like the logo on the front along with Strategic Research and Writing Services. I want the contact details on the back including: my name, role, email, mobile, web address, address.

I wouldn't mind a side panel on the rear in the colour of the business card with "Harnessing the power of the written word" on it. Maybe with the text going up vertically. I can get the logo in black and white. I will upload the logo asap.
