Logo Design Brief

I am looking to update/refresh my swim teams logo. We our this logo for our suits, swim caps, and apparel. Our team name is Vancouver Swim Club but we use the acronym VSC. Our team colors are red, white, and blue. We do not have a team mascot but we use a wave/water in our current logo. I want the logo to use water/waves as showing our strength in competitive swimming as well as including our team letters, VSC. I have attached our current logo to give you an idea of what we have used in the past, even though I feel like it is extremely outdated.
