Should we put text or an abstract design?

We are open to both.

We just increased our scope to include three designs and rewards for 4th and 5th place. We also have a request for an abstract design. My cofounder specified maybe a paint splatter or graffitti design. Urban street design. We are comfortable with changing logo scheme to match that abstract design.
